Leave the subject line blank and in the body of the message type:
SUBSCRIBE PREHEALTH firstname lastname
Substitute your name for "firstname lastname"
Example:

To: listserv@listserv.arizona.edu
Body: SUBSCRIBE PREHEALTH Jane Smith
Wait for confirmation instructions.
