Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Medical Honor Society

Arizona Surgery Club

The mission of the Arizona Surgery Club is to enhance the care of surgical patients and actively promote patient safety through programs and products that effectively address the needs of medical students, pre-health undergraduate students, surgical patients, and the public. Emergency Medicine Club

The Emergency Medicine Club is accepting memberships from undergraduates interested Emergency Medicine or medicine in general. As an Emergency Medicine Club member you will be added to our mailing list, via which we will announce the presentations and clinics the EM club will be hosting over the course of the year. The presentations usually take place in the medical school lecture halls and are given by community Emergency Medicine physicians and residents on a variety of topics. The presentation topics range from clinical applications such as airway management, to more academic topics like getting into an Emergency Medicine residency. We also have several "hands-on" clinics planned for this year. Club membership is $20.00, and lasts 4 years. Your membership will carry over to medical school if you attend the UofA College of Medicine during your membership period. Integrative Medicine Club

We have meetings once a month and bring in guest speakers from the different health fields of Integrative Medicine. We also have activities throughout the year such as conferences, social events, fundraisers, and seminars. Find more information at the Integrative Medicine Club web site.

 

American Medical Association-Medical Student Section of the University of Arizona College of Medicine
The University of Arizona-College of Medicine Chapter of the American Medical Association-Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) is dedicated to representing medical students, improving medical education, developing leadership, and promoting activism for the health of America . We strives to be the medical students' leading voice for improving medical education, advancing health care and advocating for the future of medicine. With projects, programs, and activities, the University of Arizona-College of Medicine Chapter of the American Medical Association-Medical Student Section (AMA-MSS) will pursue being: 1) The leading medical student organization for advancing issues of public wellness, community service, ethics, and health policy; 2) The principal source for obtaining and disseminating information for medical students regarding medical education, residency training, and medical practice; 3) The most representative voice and influential advocate for medical students and their patients; 4)A dynamic organization that provides value to its medical student members. Future Physician Assistants Club

The purpose of this club will be to guide, support, and inform those students seeking a career as a physician assistant. It will also be the clubs purpose to educate and advocate the physician assistant profession as it is a new field that is up and coming. the FACES organization attempts to educate everyone on issues relating to cultural diversity and its affects on healthcare. They offer all pre-health students a forum where they can pursue community service, volunteer experience, and many other enriching experiences. Omega Delta - Pre-Optometry Club
The objective of this organization is to encourage and inspire students about a career in optometry. Students that are interested or that may become interested in a professional career in optometry this organization will help them learn more about the application process as well as the everyday life of an optometrist. Biomedical Engineering Society
In response to a manifest need to provide a society that gave equal status to representatives of both biomedical and engineering interests, the Biomedical Engineering Society was incorporated in Illinois on February 1, 1968. As stated in the Articles of Incorporation, the purpose of the Society is: "To promote the increase of biomedical engineering knowledge and its utilization."
Science Connection
Science Connection provides a forum for college students to teach science in the community schools of Tucson. Students design, test, and demonstrate science projects to all ages of students. This course can be taken for credit or on a voluntary basis.
