Are You Applying to Health Profession Schools that do NOT Participate in the VirtualEvals System?

Students applying to Physician Assistant programs do not need to use our Letter of Recommendation service; letters can be directly submitted by your letter writers through CASPA.

To use our Letter of Recommendation Service when applying to schools which do not participate in the VirtualEvals system, you first need to:

• Register to use our service by:

  1. completing the ONLINE REGISTRATION and
  2. waive your right of access elctronically when creating your account

• Provide us with 9 x 12 envelopes (non-clasp, self sealers) for each packet (i.e. if you are applying to 12 schools, you will provide 12 envelopes). We highly recommend you use Priority Mail which is $4.60 per school. Envelopes must be the large size cardboard mailers and have postage/address labels affixed.
• Affix a return address on the envelopes as follows: University College, Pre-Health Advising Center, PO Box 210070, Tucson, AZ 85721-0070.
• Address the envelopes to each individual school (use the address on your secondary application or from our web-site). Please type labels for each school using ALL CAPS & No Punctuation on the Labels.
• If not using Priority Mail, Affix 2 postage stamps per envelope ( UA COLLEGE OF MEDICINE IS FREE; NO POSTAGE REQUIRED) – Please write “CAMPUS MAIL” in lower right hand corner of envelope.
• Allow two weeks to process from the date your request is received by our office.

Special Note for Dental School Applicants:

AADSAS has created a system that allows our office to upload your complete file (maximum of 4 letters) directly to them. This allows your letters to be sent to your schools with the primary application. To use this option, please follow these steps:

• Create the request to send your letters to AADSAS through your online account with us.
• Indicate on your primary application to AADSAS that we will be sending a "committee letter."
• Also on your primary application, provide our contact name and email address: UAZ Prehealth prehlth@email.arizona.edu so that we will be given access to upload your file.

Before submitting a request (through your online account) that your letters be sent out, be sure that you have taken care of the following:

1. You have established your account with us through the Registration Page
2. You have provided the materials as described above
3. All of your letters are received by our office; check this through your account with us
4. You have received at least one Secondary Application
